Schools can take part in manufacturing day two ways. School groups can register to tour a manufacturing facility on Wednesday, October 6th. Review the list of companies below to see if there’s a manufacturer near you! New companies will be added to the list of available tours throughout the month, so check back often if you don’t see one listed near you. 


Schools can also tune into the live stream in the afternoon to hear from our keynote speaker and our panel. Fill out the registration form to indicate if you’d like to sign up for a tour and/or to receive the link to the live stream in the afternoon.

Description: Texas Healthcare Linen is a highly automated healthcare laundry operation. Machines will be running at the time of the tour. Students will be able to observe the operation and staff will be available to answer questions about the pathways and skills needed to enter this type of career.

Description: The USG plant in Sweetwater, Texas produces Sheetrock® panels. This plant has been located in Sweetwater for 98 years. We are the industry leader in many ways including safety. The tour will allow your students to witness the production process from natural rock to truckloads of finished product. The tour will include a discussion on the many jobs available to your students in the manufacturing environment.
